That is indeed a very exciting way to introduce a girl to the concept of sharing, and I have to appreciate the warmth evident in the relationship, as well as all the details showing that, like for example the Latin phrase on the collar that the girl was allowed to choose.
One thing I wasn’t quite sure about is why did she slip the shoes back on. Was that the Greeting rule of the house, or did she purposely break the rule for the lashes. My interpretation is the latter, but I could be wrong.
